Desert Loom

The sky is on fire and the land is weaving. Streams of gold, amber and turquoise pour downward like the last light of a New Mexico sunset, while an ancient geometric pattern rises through the blaze — each piece a small leather rectangle, placed by hand, yarn by yarn, diamond by diamond.
The pattern knows something the sunset doesn't. It has been here before, woven into blankets carried across mountains and desert floors, passed from hand to hand across generations. Here it meets the fire again, and holds its own.
Desert Loom is where the sky and the earth remember each other.
