Spectrum
Mixed media on canvas | 10 x 30" | 2025
Four hundred and sixty-eight hand-cut leather squares, each a distinct color, are arranged across the canvas in a sweeping gradient — from deep purples and teals on the left, through warm neutrals and burgundies at the center, to silvers and muted greens on the right. Some squares carry their color codes, others are anonymous; some labels are deliberately cut off at the edges, as if this palette extends far beyond what the canvas can hold.
The base is layered metal leaf — gold and silver — brushed back in places to reveal a worn, time-weathered surface beneath. The result is something between a color archive and a luminous artifact, where the vocabulary of industry becomes the language of art.
Spectrum is a portrait of a career told in leather and light.
